  • Community Alliance Broxbourne and East Herts are hosting a funding fair on November 13th at our Nigel Copping Community Building in Stanstead Abbotts with the hopes for many to attend. Funders will have the opportunity to offer funding to those seeking it and community groups and charities will have the opportunity to connect directly with potential funders at this drop-in event between 3pm to 6pm.   • Broxbourne Small Grants: Applications to the Broxbourne Council Small Grants scheme are now live. There are three forms of support, each with a different application form
    1. Cash support
    2. Subsidy for facility hire (for Council facilities only)
    3. Rent relief

    The deadline for applications is Monday 2 December and applications are to be submitted to the Grants Inbox Grants@broxbourne.gov.uk 

  • Fit and Fed Half Term - The Fit and Fed project will be running in Waltham Cross on 31 October and 1 November. Download the leaflet here

  • The ParkPlay in Cedars Park, Cheshunt on Saturday morning offers a fantastic opportunity for families to engage in two hours of free community play, while remaining active and spending quality time with their loved ones. Additionally, it provides an excellent opportunity to connect with the local community

  • Lots of really useful links for information on support for the cost of living is available on the Citizens  Advice East Herts website https://citizensadviceeastherts.org.uk/ from Energy saving tips, Cost of Living payments, and Fuel bills. Also download the Citizens Advice leaflet which gives times/dates of their drop-in 

  • Services for Young People (SfYP) youth work projects enable young people to develop their personal and social skills and increase their confidence, self-esteem and resilience. Get details of SfYP projects and information, advice and support services in your area here:

    • The ParkPlay in Jackmans Park, Letchworth on Saturday morning offers a fantastic opportunity for families to engage in two hours of free community play, while remaining active and spending quality time with their loved ones. Additionally, it provides an excellent opportunity to connect with the local community 
    • No More Service is a youth service in Stevenage and North Herts, which offers support to young people aged 11-21 across Hertfordshire to address the impact alcohol, substance misuse and/or offending have on all areas of a client’s life and help them develop practical solutions to address these. Clients have to fulfil at least three of the relevant criteria to be accepted onto the Service, find out more here and download the referral form here.

    • Find out more about IMPAKT – Domestic Abuse Support Team – which covers North Herts and Stevenage.

    • Services for Young People (SfYP) youth work projects enable young people to develop their personal and social skills and increase their confidence, self-esteem and resilience. Get details of SfYP projects and information, advice and support services in your area here:
    •  LGBTQ plus group (View poster) – If you are part of the LGBTQ plus community in Hertfordshire and would like support with your #Wellbeing or are looking to connect with others, you can join our LGBTQ plus peer support group last Tuesday of every month 4-6pm in Stevenage.  Email admin@mindinmidherts.org.uk for more information.

    • A new Community Hub in Stevenage Old Town is now open every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm. The aim of the hub is to support anyone who is approaching the end of their life (within 12 months) and those caring for them – the time before someone dies is a difficult one – many people don’t want to acknowledge what’s happening and that can be so hard for those around them.   • Girls Empowerment Sessions

    The Adventure Playgrounds in Dacorum will be hosting Girls Empowerment Sessions to support mental health and wellbeing for those aged between 8-15 years old, our Adventure Playgrounds.

    The informal sessions will cover topics such as body image, the effects of social media, bullying, wellbeing strategies and how fitness affects mental health. There will always be one female coach per session to deliver the workshops and activities.

    October session dates and locations:
    Chaulden - 21 October (6:30pm - 8:30pm)
    Bennetts End - 23 October (6:30pm - 8:30pm)
    Adeyfield - 28 October (6:30pm - 8:30pm)
