  • ParkPlay is coming to Bishops Stortford! Parkplay is two hours of multi-sports for the whole family led by our Playleaders and volunteers, keeping our kids moving every Saturday morning from 10am-12pm. The best part is that it is completely FREE!

ParkPlay are currently looking for some volunteers to help us launch this great community initiative and get Bishops Stortford's children moving at our Thorley Gap parkplay. Together with Jordan, our playleader and youth worker with Thirst Cafe, you can be part of this amazing community focused event. Volunteering can be anything from signing in Parkplayers to helping our playleader set up the games. Volunteers do not need any experience in sport or physical activity and will receive free training, support and free access to the Parkplay app.

If you would like to help get our kids moving and bring your community together through the power of play please get in contact with Adam Nnochiri at adam.nnochiri@aitc.org.uk for more information on volunteering.

  • In-person Talking Teens course

You may recall that we have an in-person Talking Teens Course, for parents and carers of children aged 12-19 , beginning on Wednesday 24th February in Hemel Hempstead in the Gade Schools Family Support Community Room at Oakleaf Primary School. We currently have very few bookings and are keen to be able to run this course for Dacorum and the surrounding area, as this will show that we continue to have families in need in this area for future funding.
You can download the course details together with a referral form and would ask that you please share the details of the course with your schools and families with whom you are working and make referrals to us as our funding requires us to ensure referred parents are given priority.
If we are unable to fill the course by 3rd February then we will need to change this to an online course and open up bookings to the whole county.
