Front page - Welcome

Welcome

Dear Partners,

Welcome to the May edition of Families First News for Hertfordshire’s early help professionals! We hope you’ve managed to keep cool during this unusually warm spring ☀️😎

We recently hosted our Spring 2026 Working Together in Early Help events, which continue to provide a valuable opportunity for both workforce development and networking. It was fantastic to see such strong attendance across the county.
The events featured a range of presentations, including sessions on Prevent, Best Start Family Hubs, and Young Carers, alongside other key topics.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of these sessions. We look forward to sharing details of our Autumn programme soon .....please watch this space!

As always, we have plenty of partnership news to share with you and this edition we'd like to draw your attention to our local page where you can find out what's happening for families near you. Please also use this page to promote your own news - as always, email your copy to familiesfirst.support@hertfordshire.gov.uk

If you or a team member would like to learn more about Families First, you may want to attend one of our Families First online Induction days which are held quarterly across the county and are open to all professionals. Find out more here.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Families First News and please encourage your teams to sign up to receive their own copy!  Also, don't forget to take a look through our Learning and Development articles to see what is available for you and your teams.

As always, please do let us have your comments and suggestions for what you would like included in future editions by emailing familiesfirst.support@hertfordshire.gov.uk.

Kind regards

The Development Team
