Welcome
Dear Partners,
Welcome to the July edition of Families First News for Hertfordshire's early help professionals. Schools are breaking up for the summer, suncream is out and paddling pools are inflated. We hope you find the information for the free activities useful to pass on to your families.
Summer Holiday Special
We are pleased to promote some FREE summer activities for children and young people during the school holidays. From activities for 0-5 at the Family Centres, to the Herts Summer Parks for 12-16 year olds and webinars from With Youth Digital Wellbeing Service for 5-18-year-olds and much more! Please share these opportunities with the families you support.
Hold the Date: It's Time to Celebrate!
It feels like time has flown by, but we're excited to announce that this year we will be hosting the next Families First Awards. Held every two years, these awards celebrate the outstanding work across Hertfordshire's early help services. This year's ceremony will take place at the South Hill Centre in Hemel Hempstead on Wednesday, 12th November. Nominations will open at the end of August, so please start thinking about the individuals or teams who have gone above and beyond in supporting Hertfordshire families. There are 11 categories (5 team and 6 individual) - WATCH THIS SPACE FOR FURTHER INFO.
HOLD THE DATE:-
We hope you enjoy this edition of Families First News and please encourage your teams to sign up to receive their own copy! Also, don't forget to take a look through our Learning and Development articles to see what is available for you and your teams. If you haven't already completed the iLearn module for identifying Young Carers, please do so, as the summer months can be especially hard for children with caring responsibilities, and it is important that we identify them so they can be supported appropriately. Don't forget to check the local news pages and vacancies page, and feel free to forward any information on to colleagues.
