Families First News

Front page - Welcome

Welcome

Dear Partners,

As Christmas rapidly approaches, we have another full edition of Families First news from across the partnership to bring to you.

Firstly, we were very proud to be finalists in this year’s Children & Young People's Now awards in the category for Partnership Working. This is great recognition for all Families First partners across the county who consistently provide effective early help support to families. The CYP Now team hosted a wonderful evening in Hammersmith and we would like to say a big congratulations to all the outstanding winners for their contributions to supporting children and young people.

Supporting Families ran a very successful clothes and Christmas gift donation stall in Farnham House canteen on Thursday 5 December in additional to providing information on the Families First Programme.

Thank you to all the staff who donated items and 14 large bags of items were provided to Family Action in Cheshunt who have set up a community shop providing free items to families in need this winter. Due the success of the day, Supporting Families are planning another donation day in the spring/summer – please look out for details.

If you attend one of our district Families Partnership meetings, we are seeking feedback on how they are working locally and how we would like them to develop in 2025. Please take a moment to complete the survey here.

Finally, don't forget to take a look through our Learning and Development articles to see what is available for you and your teams. Along with our local news pages and vacancy page.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Families First News and please encourage your teams to sign up to receive their own copy!

As always, please do let us have your comments and suggestions for what you would like included in future editions by emailing familiesfirst.support@hertfordshire.gov.uk.

Kind regards

The Development Team
