The St Albans and Dacorum IFST held a very successful event at Woodhall Adventure Playground on Thursday 26th March. Many fantastic professionals, all passionate about their craft, attended and made many useful contacts to better support Men & Boys across Hertfordshire.

These included individuals from services such as, Future Living, Hightown Housing Association, For Baby’s Sake, Watford Football Club Community Support Education Trust, Supporting Families Practice Team, Harpenden Plus Partnership and Women’s Refuge.

There were two guest speakers Watford FC CSE Trust and Future Living. Who highlighted the groups and programmes that they run in Hertfordshire to assist Men & Boys with the wide variety of topics that are relevant to young men in the modern world.

From domestic abuse to toxic relationships, the ever-encroaching shadow of the ‘Manosphere’, these groups cover a wide range of topics.

These great services offer activities to fathers and young men who may want to build support networks of their own or may simply want to have a conversation with others who share their concerns. Perhaps they may even want to blow off some steam with a game of football, which Watford FC CSE Trust can certainly facilitate.

Following these speakers, all present shared their relevant experiences and examples of where these services could have been useful in the past,  are currently useful today as well as all of the positive plans for the future.

St Albans and Dacorum IFST were proud to announce the next Men & Boys Networking Event, to showcase services or simply to build a professional network of their own. The QR code was given to all to scan before they left the event.

Well done Henry, we know the hard work and perseverance that was put into making the event take place. Also, thankyou Daniel for the support that you have provided to Henry during this time.

The next Supporting Boys & Men’s Professional Network Event will take place on 17 November at 12pm. Book your place here:-
