Workforce development

The vision for Families First training and development is to create a skilled, confident and resilient multi-agency workforce that supports whole family working.

To support this, we have brought together training courses that are available to practitioners across Hertfordshire. We aim to add new resources to this page when available and we have recently added some resources on Trauma Informed practice.

Please take a look at the page, bookmark and share with teams, where appropriate.

Workforce Shadowing

Virtual working has, in some cases made shadowing easier to access, and we have opportunities to shadow Families First Triage, Specialist Adolescent Services Hertfordshire (SASH), Intensive Family Support Teams and YC Hertfordshire. In addition some partners are able to provide 1-1 overviews of their service on request.

If this is something you/or your team member feel would be of benefit, please email Familesfirst.support@hertfordshire.gov.uk stating the service you would like to shadow and the preferred district and we will do our best to facilitate a shadowing opportunity.
