Citizens Advice - Here to help at Christmas

We know Christmas can be a tricky time for many, especially this year. Whether it’s advice on employment, benefits, money, housing, relationships or access to foodbank or fuel vouchers – we’re here to help with free and confidential advice.

Please see the Citizens Advice leaflet with opening times and links.

CHEXS Christmas Craft Sessions

CHEXS haven't unfortunately been able to deliver their usual Christmas Craft sessions in schools this year, so their students have been getting crafty and have designed some imaginative craft at home Christmas decorations and created instruction videos, which CHEXS will be launching at the beginning of December on their 'CHEXS Official' You tube channel. Please see the poster below for further information.

Local support for families this Christmas

Jedidiah are a Hertford based charity providing Christmas lunch hampers for local families, which are really struggling. For further details about this organisation, please click here.

Buntingford and Villages Foodbank are currently supplying 65 Christmas hampers to local families. They will be delivering food parcels to those in need up to and over Christmas. Please email buntingford.foodbank@gmail.com if you have any questions about this great local initiative.

DSPL4 5th Annual Conference - SEND & Mental Health

DSPL4 welcomes all parents, carers and professionals to join us at our 5th Annual Conference; SEND & Mental Health. This conference will be held virtually via Zoom and is FREE to attend. Please click here for our conference pack for everything you need to know about the day, including how to book. We would really appreciate it if you could please share information about this on social media, with other families and professionals.

Job Smart

With another set of High Street businesses going into administration, job losses are going to continue increasing both nationally and locally.

Please click here for a poster about the Job Smart employability programme, which is being delivered by the CVS across Broxbourne and East Herts. Face-to-face group sessions recommence next week in Waltham Cross and Wormley whilst there is also online support and e-learning videos.

Please help us promote this programme by whatever means you have; noticeboards, social media, newsletters as well as one-on-one with families you know who are in need of this support.

We will be devising some more publicity in the next few weeks as well as printing flyers for pick up in community locations.
